Sugar Pie

Photo source: Recettes du Québec website
Traditionally, French Canadians make sugar pie at Christmas. Although, I have habitually eaten my mother's sugar pie, this year I am making my own sugar pie with a twist.   This is a creamy, firm pie that I've heard is fantastic.

Sugar pie always put me in a mind of Québec city on a wintry day.  If you haven't visited Québec, put it on your bucket list, it's worth it!  If you want a treat, have a meal at Aux Anciens Canadiens on rue St-Louis and taste their maple syrup pie.

It's beautiful out today, almost 5 degrees, atypical for an Albertan December!

Bonne fin de semaine,

Stella
