On Another Note

Dining room table centerpiece two weeks ago.  The fig season is over.

Yes Linda, another summer season in Provence is making it's way slowly but definitely into fall. Days are 25 degrees and nights are cool. The children are in school and only the locals remain...

It's sweet, pulpy and has amazing tiny seeds that add a little crunch to the bite. Roasted on ice cream, they are fabulous and make an over the top delicious jam!

they are also delicious grilled with a slice of goatcheese and a tiny dot of honey, goes well with duck or pork or veal :-)
